geoffs foldable iPhone stand
thingiverse
I spend a lot of time reading on my iPhone and also use it as a magnifier for SMD electronics - so when I upgraded from my iPhone 7 to a 7+, I needed to add a foldable stand that fit the new phone. I made a complete case for my 7, but it was a hassle requiring PETG and TPU, and 3D printed cases aren't quite as good as commercial ones yet. Suddenly I had an idea - just make the stand and glue it to the back of an existing case. Here's the result. I actually cut a recess in the case because I could, but gluing it on the back would be quicker and easier if a little wider. The hinge pin is 1mm Piano Wire that I cut to fit, you might need to drill out the hole, but with my modified SD3 printer, I didn't have to.
