Geoff's Y-Axis Idler Pulley & Gear for Solidoodle2 Mk3 & Mk4 - all 3D printed
thingiverse
Based on my updated design inspired by the original creation found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1023433 , I've incorporated some improvements. First, I've switched to a smooth pulley as I found that the toothed pulley sometimes caused the belt to jump over a tooth. Secondly, I used larger inner diameter ball bearings, measuring 13mm in outer diameter and 5mm in width, with an inner diameter of 6mm, which results in a significantly stronger axle for the pulley. Additionally, I've added bearing retainer clips (the outer rings) from the Mk4 model to enhance overall stability. To cater to users who still want to employ the original 4mm ID ball bearings, I've included an alternative pulley with the standard 4mm inner diameter.
