I designed this hub system specifically for building geodesic dome models. It's a print-in-place hinge that allows for easy assembly. To secure the hinges to the wood struts, you'll need to use screws through the pre-drilled holes in each hinge. For a truncated geodesic dome, you'll need three of these hubs, while five are required for a pentagon and six for a hexagon. Print the hubs as instructed in the supplied STL and G-code files, making sure the hinge sections are at a 90-degree angle.
