Geodesic Dome type 2V
thingiverse
Constructed using a Solidworks part file for each pentagon and rod component, I designed an assembly comprising five mated pentagons and rods at their respective end centers and intersections to eliminate unnecessary protrusions. A flat bottom surface was intentionally added to facilitate smooth printing operations; additional support may be recommended due to the structure's geometric complexity. Successfully printed on a scaled-down model, roughly half its original dimensions, to optimize printing conditions. The component models were meticulously created with precise measurements sourced from domerama.com calculator results.
