These connectors make it possible to create a fun and instructive two-phase geodesic dome.\nYou'll want to use 3/16" x 3/16" squared balsa for the struts, but the print is easily scalable to accept 1/8" or 1/4".\nThe original drawings were done in inches; please adjust accordingly.\nThe pictured dome has a radius of 12", and it was constructed from two different strut lengths: A - 6.785", B - 6"\nTo build your own custom dome, use the instructions found here, beginning with preparing the pieces for construction:\nYou will need thirty-five long pieces (each marked with Blue) thirty short pieces (each marked with Red), ten base connectors, ten hexagon connectors, and six pentagon connectors.\nThe following steps explain how to assemble your geodesic dome:\nStep 1: Connect ten long struts end to end to make the base.
