Geodesic Dome Adapter for 3/4" PVC Pipe, 4V http://www.acidome.ru/lab/calc/#1/4_Piped_D50_4V_R2.186_beams_30x30 These connectors are designed specifically for "equal chords" style Geodesic domes, as that is the only type my geodesic dome generator can produce, and it's the standard type. In theory, these adapters can be scaled up or down to fit any size pipe. To use with 1/2" PVC pipe, simply scale the design by 73.5%. For 1" PVC pipe, re-scale the design by 129%. Lay the adapter flat and print it. Recommend using #6 self-drilling pan head screws for securing the PVC pipes to these connectors. Printer Settings: Cheap Chinese knockoff printer Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: The shell thickness should be at least 3 mm, but thicker is even better. These adapters don't require support during printing, but other hubs might need it. Print one out and try fitting it with your pipe. Adjust the scale as needed, because different PVC manufacturers have slightly varying dimensions. Post-Printing: Cut the PVC pipe perpendicularly to the adapter. Use #6 self-drilling pan head screws to secure it in place, just like shown.
