Geodesic dome 2V Assembly type
thingiverse
This is a geodesic dome 2V with a diameter of 20 cm. Print triangle parts and assemble them to make a dome, resulting in a very beautiful dome. How to print: There are three types of parts: AAA (regular triangle), ABB (isosceles triangle), and bottom plate. To make the dome, you will need - AAA ... 10 (black triangle parts shown in photos) - ABB ... 30 (white triangle parts shown in photos) - Bottom...10 (white stick parts shown in photos) The purpose of the bottom plate is to prevent snap claws from sticking out at the bottom, increase the strength of the entire dome, and improve its appearance by adding only one thin plate. Note: When printing the "bottom plates," please print them in a vertical position, like the STL file. If you print horizontally, the strength of the snaps will be reduced. If you want to make a sphere, print the following: - AAA ... 20 (black parts shown in photos) - ABB ... 60 (white parts shown in photos) - Bottom...0 (No bottom plate is required.) How to assemble: Assembling this dome can be done easily if you look at the provided photos. Scaling: If you print enlarged, you will get an expanded dome. However, shrinking it might not work as well because the snap structure cannot be maintained when shrunk. 2019.8.22 Clarified the number of bottom plates required for printing. 2019.6.30 Added a bottom plate file and explanation.
