geocache (hanging micro)
thingiverse
This geocache container is designed to hang from a tree using a zip-tie. The V2.0 version has a knurled base and is shorter, fitting perfectly on 1-1/4 inch width logs. Its walls are slightly thicker, allowing for two full perimeters on external and internal walls, eliminating stray strings inside. V2.1 features minor improvements like thinner walls. If you decide to print it using ABS plastic (as opposed to biodegradable PLA), note that the container isn't very waterproof initially. To remedy this, use a small paintbrush and acetone to seal any holes on the outside of the top portion. Be cautious as acetone can be hazardous. If the top half detaches before completion, print an extra-wide skirt right up against it for stability. Check out its location at coord.info/GC50V7J.
