GEOCACHE Fake Bolt (updated 3/4/20)
thingiverse
This is a replica Geocache bolt - Designed for the geocaching community. - Fast Print - Spray paint silver (optional) -- (makes it look truly authentic) - Magnet required (I found an old magnetix magnet and glued it in the hole, but the much simpler way is just to find a small magnet and glue it to the top of the print (easiest method, and effective). Only requirement for the magnet is that it must be strong enough to hold onto a metal object, (like to the bottom of a park bench / table, or something that will conceal the fake bolt well). -UPDATED - MAGNET - The magnet I am using in the dark grey bolt pictures above is a magnet from hobby lobby. They come in a pack of 12 or so. Here's a link to the magnets I used if you want a perfect fit -- https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Basic-Crafts/Magnets/Neodymium-Magnets---5-16%22/p/74984 -logbook can be a small piece of paper rolled up to fit into the hole. Make sure the roll sticks out a little bit so you can grab it (see pictures above). Don't make a logbook so short that it gets stuck in the hole. Make it taller than the hole in the bolt. Happy geocaching and Printing :)
