I attempted a geometric necklace design and my wife kindly modeled it as it wouldn't fit me. The jewelry piece was created in Maya with no overhang issues, all angles at 45 degrees, requiring minimal cleanup. After spray-painting it black and red, making it reversible, I printed the accessory on a Makerbot Replicator with "natural" PLA and "medium" settings (1 extra shell, 10% infill, 215 deg extrusion, HBP off). A raft wasn't necessary but precise print platform alignment was essential for adhesion. The piece took 51 minutes to print.
