Assemble George Hart's 72 Pencil sculpture using two pencil holder designs. First, buy 72 mixed-color pencils, and measure them across the flats. Scale a chosen holder STL file according to pencil measurements (e.g., 96mm for 6mm pencils). Print four holders for each of the sculpture's hexagonal prisms. Attach prisms at ~70° angles, securing with elastic bands and superglue. Visualize assembly using a provided STL file in ReplicatorG. Adjust holder size if necessary for easier assembly on a Makerbot Replicator or with CNC-milled balsa wood.
