Gents Saw Handle Upgrade

Gents Saw Handle Upgrade

I decided to upgrade my Gent's Saw style dovetail saw handle. The idea came from a YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz_jni42FZ0. However, I thought it would be more fun to create a digital model using Fusion360 instead of following the traditional method of cutting a slot in the middle with the saw blade itself. The basic pattern I used can be found on Blackburn Tools' website: http://www.blackburntools.com/articles/saw-handle-templates/index.html (I opted for the 9-inch open pattern). Typically, this type of handle is made from one piece of wood. I chose to make a left and right side separately so that it would print easily without any supports. The thin (.4 mm) spacer goes between them to compensate for the blade thickness.
