Genie Keypad Replacement

My trusty Genie Keypad cover succumbed to the harsh effects of sun rot, rendering it unusable. In response, I designed and manufactured a brand-new replacement cover, only to discover that the "bracket" securing the keypad broke soon after. Undeterred, I embarked on a mission to recreate the entire case from scratch. The new case consists of four distinct components, each meticulously crafted to work in harmony with the others. Unfortunately, these parts cannot be replaced individually; they must be used together as a cohesive unit. The cover boasts cleverly designed "tabs" at its top, which prevent it from being removed unless held at precisely 45 degrees. Any other angle will keep the cover firmly in place. My initial struggles with sticky buttons led me to incrementally enlarge the holes by 0.25mm until they functioned seamlessly. While this adjustment has resulted in a slightly looser feel, the buttons now operate flawlessly. In retrospect, purchasing an entirely new unit would have been the easier option, but I'm proud of the ingenuity and perseverance that went into revamping my Genie Keypad case.
