I needed a case for my garage door opener since every time I used it inside my pocket or backpack, it would accidentally click the button. A snug fit ensures that the garage door opener doesn't fall out unintentionally. You may want to add a ring to the door opener so you can easily pull it out, or simply use a tie like shown in the picture.
