Geneva mechanism is a system of gears that enables an automatic machine to perform precise movements. The gear train has four links - two idle wheels and two driving wheels. It works by having the driving wheels move in opposition to each other, which causes the intermediate wheel to rotate in one direction while the output wheel rotates in the opposite direction.
