Generic Robot Chassis
thingiverse
The enclosed OpenSCAD Libraries create chassis for small robot designs. They support servo-based drive systems and have a top-mounted servo for ping sensor scanning. To utilize this software, place all the SCAD files in a common directory. The code was tested using ABS material at .3mm layer height with 1 extra shell and 50% infill. Parameters for bot size and board dimensions are contained within newsumo.scad file. You can configure it to generate printable views from various angles or a 3D view by uncommenting the relevant line in the same file. The caster used is sourced from VXB Bearings, while #1 x 3/8 servo hold down screws from JR Hobby Hardware are employed for assembly purposes. Note that this is a preliminary release with additional features such as castering wheel and Arduino board-sized version in development.
