One of the primary motivations behind my purchase of a 3D printer was its affordability as a means to rapidly prototype essential survival items and firearm components. I have created three base designs, each with distinct characteristics. One is rounded and incredibly thin, devoid of any openings, and intended for secure attachment via hot glue. A second base design is flat and equally slender, ensuring that screws can effectively hold it in place despite its minimal dimensions. The third base boasts a robust structure, specifically engineered to be inletted for seamless integration with other components. UPDATE: Version 3 of the base now incorporates 1/4-20 threads within one hole. However, a small portion of thread must be removed to facilitate proper functionality; otherwise, it cannot be made to work effectively.
