Generic Food Dehydrator Extension for Filament Dryer Mod
thingiverse
I bought one of the many cheap no-name dehydrators dehydrators on Amazon/Ebay and I wanted to use it for drying fruit, seeds, jerky AND filament! :) Therefore, no destroying the shelves to fit in a reel. Others have made these too, but for some reason I didn't see them when searching and designed my own. It's a nice tight fit, but easy to remove. Mine has simple overlaps and is designed to be glued together (I used superglue). I pulled it together with a few layers of masking tape and some clamps. I didn't want to put the lid/tray onto/under it while the glue was wet in case they were glued to it permanently! You can fit existing trays on top of it, under it and the lid and base also fit it well. I didn't bother, but I'm sure you could also put on on top of another as well. I used it on top of one of the trays that came with the dehydrator and the regular lid on top. I designed it to comfortably fit any of my spools - which includes Prusament, eSun and even the really chunky Amazon Basics spools. It works great. I weighed a reel of filament and a sachet of dessicant before and after drying for 6 hours and I could see they both were a deal lighter! No supports needed, but I would recommend a brim as it's a tall print with a small footprint.
