Generic F1 2015-2016 Race Car 3d model
cgstudio
Detailed model of a generic F1 race car from the 2015-2016 season is available. This design serves as an ideal representation for visualization without any copyright issues. The Halo security cockpit system, which will be introduced in the 2017 season, is included. It's easy to remove it to render images from the 2016 season. The main body of the model measures 4096x4096 pixels, while the driver and tire side textures are each 1024x1024 pixels. These layered textures make it simple to change the overall graphic design. The MAX format includes mental ray 3.5 and scanline materials as well as illumination settings. The rear wing of the model is designed to simulate the DRS system in action. Two drivers are provided, one for straight-line driving and another for cornering. The on-board cameras can be easily detached from the model. The wheels have their local axis oriented correctly, allowing for front-wheel turning or all-wheel rotation -except when using OBJ format-. A PDF file containing instructions is included with the purchase. This document provides guidance on how to work with the 3D model. Note that images rendered with Mental Ray light settings are provided. These settings can be found within the MAX format. However, users should note that the 3DS, FBX, and OBJ files require additional work on materials, mesh vertex welding, and mesh smoothing. The PDF file includes instructions to help with these tasks. This is a polygonal model and not designed for import into parametric CAD software. It's also not optimized for 3D printing. The textures are stored separately in the 'Textures' file. Users should unzip this file and place it in the same folder as the mesh file.
