Generic Box
thingiverse
I use a simple box with a snapping lid to create more intricate boxes for straightforward electronic projects. This box is designed using FreeCAD, but the actual model in FreeCAD takes precedence over these two STL files. By specifying the InnerWidth, InnerDepth, and InnerHeight of the box, you can easily create a box of any size within FreeCAD. After opening the FreeCAD model, simply double-click on the spreadsheet named Var to access the adjustable parameters that shape the design. Most variable names are self-explanatory, but here's a brief rundown: * Gap refers to the tolerance, or the space between the lid and box when they snap together. * Pip represents the small protrusions on the lid that secure it onto the box.
With this file you will be able to print Generic Box with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Generic Box.
