I needed a small swivel base to set up a compact camera system. I decided to think outside the box and cover all my bases with a range of components. These parts fit snugly together, and the slightly rough finish that comes with a 0.2mm layer height provides them with excellent grip. I'm pretty sure "gription" is a real word! After some experimentation, I realized that the PLA female ends were gradually losing their critical grip over time. To address this issue, I added a groove for an O-ring. This modification might not be necessary for all materials, but it's essential for me since I've only worked with PLA so far. As I continue to learn about 3D printing and various materials, I'm offering both grooved and groove-free versions of these components. While they won't keep your GoPro steady while you're performing a daring stunt, they'll definitely help keep your phone pointed at the table as you take selfies while chopping tomatoes. Who knows why that's become a thing, but hey, you do you!
