Generator Energy harvesting
thingiverse
This is a first attempt to design an uncomplicated yet efficient electricity generator for energy harvesting. Generators are typically large and use two magnets to shift North/South over Inductors, but this design reduces the number of Magnets to one per winding. Additionally, since no magnets are aligned close to each other's opposite pole, stress on material is minimized. Please note that Ø 0.25mm wire and 50 windings on each coil were used in this experiment. This resulted in an effective voltage output of 2.5Vpp. Load testing revealed a current output of 89mA at 19ohm. For higher voltage outputs, try using Ø 0.15mm wire and 75 to 100 windings. A TurboCAD 3D file is included for modification purposes. A PDF also explains how to align magnets and wind coils. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Wanhao Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 10% Notes: PETG material is recommended for rugged use, making it more suitable for outdoor environments.
