Transform your camera tripod's quick connect into a versatile adjustable stand for various items. Ensure that the connector has a square shape of 43.5mm. To do this, 3D print the piece compatible with the tripod's quick connector. Secure a general mounting plate (3mm thick perforated metal plate with beveled screw holes) using four 5 x 10 mm inlaid screws. This setup has been used to create adjustable stands for an RC lap counter and timing gate, utilizing two tripods and a U-profile. A general mounting plate assists in attaching the tripods to the U-profile, as demonstrated in the photo (before adding the general mounting plate).
