This meticulously crafted model closely mirrors the actual aircraft's dimensions, deviating by just a few inches. It represents a comprehensive redesign and renovation of our initial model series from 2006, prompted by an Australian aviation museum's request for an F-111G display model. The museum was delighted with this model and others supplied by Dreamscape. This updated version boasts enhanced detail, improved accuracy, and advanced flight controls (90% rebuilt). The model is fully textured and offers numerous animatable features, including stabilators, flaps, rudder, landing gear retraction, landing gear doors, openable canopy, and a significantly more detailed cockpit compared to the original. Available in multiple formats, the General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was initially designed and constructed by Convair/General Dynamics as an interceptor against Soviet bomber threats during the Cold War. Serving as a supersonic, medium-range interdictor and tactical strike aircraft, it also filled roles such as strategic bomber, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and air defense strike platform in various versions. The F-111 first saw service in 1967 with the United States Air Force, later joined by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) which began operating F-111Cs in 1973.
