Gen7 case with fan mount
thingiverse
This Gen7 board case is based on a Brazilian version but can be used with any Gen7 board. The Sketchup source for this case is available for download, and modifications can be made upon request. Cooling in the case features a fan mount positioned over the motor drivers, with windows located only on walls to facilitate airflow along the board. Key dimensions include 119mm distance between holes (outer border), a maximum board size of 135mm x 111mm, and an internal height of 32mm, with an external volume of 150mm x 116mm x 38mm and a fan size of 40mm x 40mm. An updated lid STL file was released on January 25, 2014, due to incorrect sizing compared to the base. On March 1, 2014, an alternative fan mount was added to the box's right side. The case is optimized for ABS printing and consists of six parts: a base, four walls (left, right, top, bottom), and a lid. Attention must be paid to first layer height, as this determines the external surface of the box. Assembly requires gluing one of each part together. For optimal cooling performance, it is recommended to use a 40mm x 20mm fan. Additionally, new optional side FAN mounts are available with STL files prefixed by "SIDE_FAN." Print one of these and attach the "fan_interface" to the right piece for added airflow.
