I found the screw holes to be to thin when I initially printed the original design, so I increased the material in the screw hole. This requires a longer screw, but makes the design infinitely more stable. I ended up using a 32mm (1 1/4 in) sheet metal screw to relace the factor screws. I also thickened the arm a little to give more stability while still clearing the dash. The last touch was to blunt the end of the ball to allow for freedom of movement without the need to sand off the nub that 3D printers leave when printing spheres. all in all this was a solid design that just needed a few tweaks to be serviceable daily. I am from across the pond and designed the left hand drive model. A right hand drive file is also available. the two models are marked with an L or R to avoid printing the wrong one by accident. The marking is not visible when the mount is installed. I love it and I hope you enjoy it as well.
