The F-16A Fighting Falcon, initially developed as a lightweight air superiority fighter in the early '70s by General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin), first flew in August 1974 and entered service in 1978. Serving both the U.S. Air Force and numerous international allies, this multirole aircraft has evolved to perform a wide range of missions, from bombing hard and soft targets with precision-guided munitions to serving as fighter interceptors. Despite no longer being produced for the U.S. Air Force, F-16s continue to see active service worldwide. This model features markings from the South Carolina Air National Guard and includes a highly detailed visualization and animation, featuring fully textured AIM 9X air-to-air missiles, GBU 12 and GBU54 guided bombs, and external fuel tanks on underwing pylons. All control surfaces, canopy, landing gear doors, and cockpit are animatable for a realistic experience.
