The material library features a wide range of transparent and semi-transparent gemstones made with V-Ray 2.40 for 3ds Max 2011 and V-Ray 2.0 for Rhino3D SR5. We carefully researched hundreds of real gemstone studio photos to accurately reproduce the existing color variations of gems. We also conducted many test renders to fine-tune each gemstone material to achieve a realistic look.
