Gel Ear Seal Adapters for 3M Peltor Hearing Protectors

This adapter enables you to utilize more affordable gel ear seals designed for David Clark and other aviation headsets on 3M Peltor hearing protectors. Paramotor pilots frequently use 3M Peltor hearing protectors as custom communication headsets, and these 3M branded gel ear seals often cost at least double the price of some other gel ear seals available for other aviation headsets. The wide lip used by aviation type gel ear seals to hold the seals on the headset is not present on 3M Peltors, so this adapter provides the necessary lip. This adapter was designed to be printed in two pieces that snap together, eliminating the need for support material. A single piece version of the model is included if you prefer to try it with supports. The two piece models feature three versions with various notches for speaker wiring and a microphone. Update 1/5/2019: A new version was uploaded with a slightly larger relief for the mic, increasing it from 4mm to 5mm. Update 1/15/2019: A lighter version of the adapter without wire or mic reliefs was uploaded. It also features a slightly larger outside diameter to better accommodate the ear cups.
