Geetech i3 Pro B mount for e3D customizable extruder
thingiverse
This is a bracket designed to fit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1383913 onto a stock X carriage on a Geeetech i3 Pro B with a metal X carriage. It may also work on other Geeetech printers, if it works for you, please leave a comment to let others know! Full OpenSCAD source is included with this thing, but it is a bit hacky. This bracket was designed to be attached with M3x8mm screws, but M3x10mm screws will probably also work. Printer Settings: Geeetech Prusia i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 35% Notes: I printed this in PETG because of its higher glass point. PLA may work, but I have not tested it. I recommend enabling supports everywhere and printing this with the back of the mounting plate on the bed. How I Designed This: I used the following settings for the hotend mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1383913) and it works fine for my printer. These are the default settings at the time of this writing. These settings should place the end of the e3D v6 about 10mm below the X carriage. You may need to use a slightly longer Z end stop screw. dual = false; mirrored = 0; prometheus = false; width = 42.5; depth = 30; height = 51; height_m = 20; cover_d = 16; holes_top1 = 35; holes_spacing1 = 30; holes_top2 = 23; holes_spacing2 = 23; holes_top3 = holes_top2 + 23; holes_spacing3 = 23; filament_d = 1.75; gear_od = 9; gear_ed = 6.75; gear_groove_width = 3.5; This bracket was created in OpenSCAD. The mounting holes and cutouts were measured from the X carriage.
