This took numerous trials to achieve perfection, setting it apart from others like the Ender3 that doesn't match the Geetech. The standard extruder motors have metal outer parts that were slightly loose and this addresses that issue as well as keeping the pipes from moving. That's why they have a curved top to these. They only fit the extruder motor parts, and I believe clips for the other end going into the heat chamber are unnecessary. UPDATE: It turns out they do fit the other end of the bowden tube and are necessary to stop stringing. This solved my retraction issues which are now 3mm less in Cura.
