The Geelong West Boys Football Team Locked Horns with East Geelong in the Thrilling Boys League Final on September 19th, 1942. The Young Players Took to the Field at Kardinia Park, a Venue Steeped in History, During the Tumultuous Third Year of World War Two. Spectators Were Required to Pay a Silver Coin Admission Fee, with All Proceeds Going Towards Supporting Patriotic Funds. Despite the Tough Opponent, East Geelong, the Geelong West Boys Emerged as "Runners Up" for the Season. This Photographic Print, Set in a Beautifully Crafted Wooden Frame, Commemorates the Team's Distinguished Achievement of Making the 1942 Boys League Finals. GRS 2009/4769.
