Geek Interview
thingiverse
In a recent interview on 99.9 KISW Seattle radio station for BJ Shea's Geek of the Week series, I showcased my Thing-O-Matic by printing custom designs based on their show's logo. The interview can be watched on Youtube or listened to via an audio-only version. Using Inkscape, I traced BJ Shea's black, red and white logo for cookie cutters. However, I realized that a cookie cutter must look backwards while printing in order to be right-side up. For the multi-color logo, I added two extra M1 commands with move up and down commands in the G-code. This allowed me to switch filament and clear noodles during printing without issues, but SF35 skein didn't handle this logo well.
