Geeetech Z-Axis Top Bracket
pinshape
Someone suggested I should trim my threaded rod below the stock acrylic parts hole, but I opted not to cut it. Instead, I went to the trouble of designing a bracket that doesn't actually support the threaded rod. This solution is particularly useful for those experiencing wobble issues where the threaded rod has become bent (like mine in the video at https://youtu.be/kOVKfpDfA9U) and needs to be replaced. It did manage to resolve my problem, but only up to about 3cm of print layers before the wobble starts to occur again. At least it provided a temporary solution to the problem. Instructions There are two files included in this design. If you're experiencing severe wobble issues, I recommend printing with the 1mm wobble file first because it does fit on my initial print. However, the smooth rod bracket for the 1mm wobble thing is not aligned with the original bracket. Use it as a temporary fix to your wobble problem, then print the other one. I printed this design with about 20% infill, four bottom/top layers, and three wall layers.
