I designed a custom caliper style scale for my GEEETECH i3 printer, allowing me to fine-tune screws for the Z axis switch whenever I swap out bed platforms or nozzles with varying heights. This setup helps me reach the final stage of fine tuning faster and more efficiently. To create this scale, I printed two objects using a 0.5 nozzle and support. While I could have experimented with changing filament at the end to add black stripes, I opted for a fine permanent marker instead, which worked well for me. The design could be improved by shortening the length of the objects and optimizing their shape, but I'm not sure if this is worth revising in the future. I uploaded an updated version of the geeetech_scale_bottom.stl file on June 26th, which had an unintended cliffhanger feature still visible in some pictures. On June 30th, I released a new version (V2) that's smaller and doesn't protrude as much. This update also includes changes to the scale stripes. For this version, I switched filament during printing for the bottom part only, resulting in more distinct height markings when the stripes begin.
