Geeetech Z axis bearing mount

Geeetech Z axis bearing mount

thingiverse

This is a mount designed to hold a lower Z-axis bearing in place for lead screws. Inside the mount, there's enough room for the typical "springy aluminum" lead screw coupling. When you're assembling the threaded rod through the bearing mount, it's essential to leave a gap between the motor shaft and the end of the threader rod so that the bearing can properly position the rod in both X and Y directions. The bearing recess has been carefully sized to accommodate the common 608 bearing (measuring 8mm ID, 22mm OD, and 7mm thick). The model features a consistent spacing of 21mm between the smooth rod hole and the leadscrew axis.
