Geeetech Y-Axis Belt Holder
thingiverse
This is a remix of Bebop182 y-axis belt fix, I too was taken in by the original instructions of putting the bolt through the belt to screw it into the carriage holder. After the belt broke mid-print, I started looking for an alternative design. Luckily, I was able to temporarily hold the broken belt in place with a large washer to print this piece without replacing the belt. I thought that replacing the entire carriage mount was unnecessary and a waste of time and plastic, so I loved this idea of just adding a belt holder to the existing aluminum block. After slicing the original design, I decided to strengthen the part up a bit since I wasn't going to want to be fixing this again any time soon. Added a few mm of extra plastic on all sides except the bottom and also added a chamfer with accommodating screw recess for extra support of the extending belt loop. I also went with the 180° twist in the belt so the smooth part of the belt runs along the front idler. Used this opportunity to replace bearings and clean up the bed a bit.
