Geeetech Prusa I3X - MK2 version
thingiverse
Hi all, This is my personal take on the Geeetech Prusa I3X acrylic, dubbed MK2. I utilized some parts sourced from Thingiverse and adapted them to suit my needs. Other components were designed by me. The Z carriage was borrowed from this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1103976, while the strap tensioner and endstop are my original designs. The Y axis for Double Filament is a creation of mine, inspired by the concept behind this Thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2444687 A support system for the 2 extruder motors was designed by me, featuring a hinge to accommodate filament rotation and pinion placement for easy insertion. The extruder X carriage is my original design, except for the rear section, which I printed from this Thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:184933. It includes a bed leveling probe with an optical switch and carbon rod, ensuring precise measurements. A cooling fan for molded parts and another for the J-head are also integrated. Three LEDs were installed behind the extruder to illuminate the printed object. To expand the printing area, I utilized a 24x30 frame glass and a heated bed measuring 216x316, resulting in a usable print space of 220 x 260 x 200h. The original Y carriage extensions are my designs. A fan was attached to the chassis frame to cool the GT2560 motherboard. Lastly, the threaded rods used are trapezoidal with a 1mm pitch. Have fun and happy printing!
