I designed and crafted custom switch mounts that attach directly to the front of the Z-axis steppers, allowing me to gain more control and access switching quickly and easily than constantly reaching behind to the rear. On the left side, I've incorporated two switches: 1) FAN - A fan that goes to the heatsink surrounding the extruder gears and hotend top needs to be turned on or off manually in some situations, so this switch is designed for manual control. 2) LIGHT - My hotend fan ducting redesign will include mounts for 4-5 LED lights to illuminate my prints without relying on a flashlight each time. On the right side, I'm moving my power switch to the front, eliminating the need to reach behind and feel around for the power button to turn the printer on or off.
