Geeetech Prusa i3 X Carriage
thingiverse
I designed this to gain some extra Z-height. There needs to be an additional 30mm since the carriage won't hit the frame anymore. The version with the original bearing blocks has less clearance due to the rear bearing hitting the frame at the angled edges. The other version is for bronze bushings, which run much smoother. I tried using Igus but they only fit correctly if pushed into a fitting. The extruder mount is designed to use an LED heatsink, so jamming will no longer occur on the Geeetech MK8 extruder. You can simply use the original rods. The spindle requires a trapezoidal one with proper nuts (see attached photo). I may edit this part for your needs. If you use the original couplings on the Z-motors, lift the machine using the feet. There is an inductive sensor mount right next to the nozzle. Make whatever modifications you want with this design. The fan shroud has some minor issues; you should touch it up.
