I loved the original design but wanted a little more security, so I modified it using Tinkercad to accommodate my printer's original PVC tube. I added wings to each bracket on the back and adjusted the rod holder for a perfect fit. I secured it to the acrylic frame with M3 bolts I had lying around, which were about 15mm long - any longer will work just as well. The key is to space the brackets to match the original spool holder tube's length, allowing you to use the original tube. Once spaced correctly, mark and drill two holes on each side for the M3 bolts to pass through and bolt it to the frame. That's all - you're done and ready to print! I spaced and drilled holes 18.6mm apart, but yours might be different due to manufacturing differences from Geeetech, so measure twice and drill once. If the original PVC tube is too short or long, a local hardware store should have suitable lengths of PVC that can be cut to size. I noticed on spools with larger internal diameters touching the back of the LCD display, I printed two holders that fit both the spool's internal diameter and the PVC tubing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:735213). It worked like a charm! I hang one spool at a time as I'm cautious and don't want to add too much extra stress to the acrylic. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40 Notes: I used four shells and four top and bottom layers to ensure the holders were strong enough. Feel free to adjust as desired.
