I've owned my Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro B since November 2017 and have been gradually upgrading it to improve print quality ever since. I decided to combine all the parts into one complete package, so let's start at the top. LH Z AXIS TOP PLATE: This is a direct copy of the original part with the hole for the M8 or T8 rod enlarged to 15mm to accommodate any bend in the rod or misalignment. You might find that the hole for the 8mm smooth rod is slightly too small, but it can be easily opened out with a file to provide a secure fit. BOWDEN EXTRUDER TOP PLATE RHS: This part is identical to the LH Z AXIS TOP PLATE, with an added mount to allow for the fitting of an all-metal extruder. I used an upgrade kit from eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extruder-Upgrade-Kit-Aluminium-for-All-MK8-Type-3D-Printers-reprap-/401523976905). ANTI WOBBLE T8 NUT MOUNT: This is a reliable anti-wobble adaptor, designed to prevent wobbling and ensure smooth operation. BOWDEN HOTEND CLAMP & BOWDEN HOTEND MOUNT: These parts enable you to fit an E3D V6 J Head type hot end to the Geeetech carriage. I purchased an £8 unit from eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extruder-Upgrade-Kit-Aluminium-for-All-MK8-Type-3D-Printers-reprap-/401523976905). You should find that the BOWDEN HOTEND MOUNT sits snugly against the lower clamp screws for the top LM8LUU bearing, which is normal and designed to ensure level mounting. FAN DUCT FOR 50mm FAN: This part provides a dedicated duct for a 50mm fan. It fits tightly against the wires for the hotend, but I had to replace my nozzle with an MK8 type nozzle to gain more clearance. Y AXIS STEPPER MOTOR BRACKET: The original Geeetech motor mounts are often cut at an angle, causing the motor to be misaligned. This part rectifies this issue and ensures smooth operation. LCD SCREEN MOUNTS AND SURROUND: These parts allow you to move the LCD screen to the bottom front of the printer. Note that they will only work if used in conjunction with Anti-vibration feet V2 for GEEETech i3 Pro B with 8mm acrylic frame (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2476818). The straight LCD screen mounts may hit on the X-Axis bearing mounts if you need to travel beyond 190mm, so use the stepped ones instead. I have also included a bracket to enable the fitting of Geeetech i3 Pro B Cooling Fan Duct, 40mm holes (50mm fan) (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2416885). This is an effective fan duct that can be used with both 40mm and 50mm fans. 16/09/2018 UPDATE! I have abandoned my GEEETech I3 Pro B and am now using some of the components for a custom-built printer based on an Orballo P3 Steel frame and an E3D Titan Aero extruder. Therefore, I will not be updating this project any further.
