Geeetech Prusa I3 Aluminium PSU cover (For S-180-12)

thingiverse

I designed a PSU cover for the S-180-12 unit that came with my printer, which would keep it standing upright on my desk with the cord facing away. After searching in vain for one that actually fit, I made this myself. I created some custom shelf-brackets to securely hold the oddly shaped end of the PSU in place while leaving room underneath for cables. This design uses the original switch and socket from the kit. The button snaps into place, and the C14 socket is screwed in with two pockets for M3 nuts. You can see how the PSU (a deep purple color) fits into the cover in one of the renderings. The unit stands very stable on its own, but mine is attached to an aluminum frame using some brackets from a different project. In the future, I plan to create a top for it that could hold a Raspberry Pi 3.
