Geeetech Prusa i3 Adjustable Feet & Brackets
thingiverse
For leveling Geeetech Prusa i3. The front bracket folks is wider than the front&back bracket because my machine uses 2 acrylic plates on the front. All of the bracket's folks has wider openings for adding bicycle inner tubes as shock absorbers. You'll need 6x M6 nuts and bolts each, and a bicycle inner tube (0.85 thick rubber; you can use something else if it has similar thickness and material properties). The feet caps in the picture have rubber rings, but these came off while I was leveling the bed. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40 & 30% Notes: Support: needed only for brackets. Infill: Cap-40%, brackets-30% Post-Printing Instructions This model's M6 bolt head and nut cut-out has tight tolerances. I recommend using the pressure fit method. Keep the nuts and bolts in a freezer. When parts are done printing, leave them on the bed (remove the support from the brackets), keep the bed heated. While the parts are still warm, push the frozen nuts and bolts into the cut-out. Assemble feet and brackets together, tighten the feet to the lowest setting. Cut the bicycle inner tube in about 30 to 35mm wide. Wrap the acrylic plate where you put the bracket on, and slide it inside the bracket's folks (see the picture below). When leveling the machine, start adjusting only 4 feet, front and back. When they are leveled, adjust the 2 sides. Trying to adjust all 6 feet at the same time will drive you crazy.
