Geeetech prusa bed calibration clip
thingiverse
I recently acquired a Geeetech Prusa i3 MK8 Wood, and I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase - it's an incredible printer that offers outstanding quality at a very affordable price. While watching a video of the aluminum version of this printer, I was inspired by the bed leveling screws on it, and I wanted to replicate them for my wood version. The idea behind this design is to provide a convenient way to level the bed using a screwdriver from above, eliminating the need to fumble with wingnuts on the underside. My fingers are not exactly designed for this task, but this modification will make it much easier to achieve accurate calibration. To install this upgrade, you'll need to follow these steps: 1. Mount the screws, springs, and washers in the same order as originally specified - start by removing the nut under the heated plate and relocate it under the clip. 2. When placing the nut into the clip, ensure that it's seated properly and touching the washer; if not, you risk compromising your calibration later on. If anyone owns a different Prusa model, such as the Geeetech Acrylic, please let me know whether this clip will work or if any modifications are necessary.
