Geeetech Pro W Front Frame Brace

Geeetech Pro W Front Frame Brace

The Geeetech Pro W seems quite resistant to modifications, so I prefer making my own. More might come soon. The wooden frame itself is not rigid enough to withstand the force of the tensioned belt on the y-axis; it makes the frame bend significantly, especially on the front plate - but no longer now. I will examine the back plate as well if this does not suffice. This design is based on Leo_N's Anet A8 frame brace, which looks sturdy and simple. I also like the idea of a somewhat wide gap in the middle, allowing you to install different belt tensioners from the original one. It may fit other Geeetech printers as well, but I cannot guarantee that. If you print it upright, you will probably not need support since it is just two M10 holes creating overhangs. I printed this at work where we use 0.15 mm as our standard layer height, and 0.2 will also be suitable. It was printed in PLA and is definitely sturdy enough. Special thanks go to MKSA for contributing nothing to this project, which ensures it is not as "genius" as his creations.
