GEEETECH PRO B I3 W - Y Axis belt holder
thingiverse
The vertical wooden support on my printer had become loose over time, so I tightened it. However, when I did this, the wood began to compress and crack. To temporarily fix the problem, I applied wood glue, which seemed to work for now. Nevertheless, I decided to replace it. To create a new holder, I chose not to reinvent the wheel by using the original design as my starting point. I then made some adjustments to add extra nuts and bolts that could be used if needed in the future. These are optional but included in the design to prevent any potential weaknesses. My plan is to eventually print this replacement part in ABS, but for now, it's being printed with 100% infill using PLA. This seems to make it a strong and sturdy piece, despite its thickness. One thing to note is that you will need longer bolts than usual due to the thicker design. You are welcome to use this design for non-commercial purposes, and I'd appreciate any feedback or comments if you decide to print one!
