This is a baseplate designed for pairing with the micro x-carriage located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:972856. Simply undoing three screws will allow you to remove this x-carriage base easily. The micro x-carriage ensures the x-axis belts remain tensioned even after removing the extruder/hotend. It was specifically designed for use with those low-cost, chinese-made extruders that can be found on popular online marketplaces such as ebay, amazon, and banggood, among others. Holding everything together are M3 screws. Instructions: 1. Secure the clamp to the base using 4 x M3x10 screws. 2. Slide the extruder into position within the clamp. 3. Tighten the clamp around the stepper motor by using two M3x30 screws. 4. Attach the base to LM8UUs by employing M3x25 screws; however, M3x30 screws can also be used, but they may extend too far and interfere with the bulldog clips on the heated bed.
