I wanted to replace the belt fixtures on my X and Y axes with slot-in type attachments, ditching holes and screws to reduce the chances of a belt tearing as a result. With the X axis one, I also sought a simple way to neatly route fan and motor wires behind the carriage to a nice low point below my smooth rods. I figured while I was at it, I'd include a mounting point for a touch probe positioned behind the hot end. I used glue to attach the probe mount so that the probe had no offset at all in the X axis, but ended up with a 60mm offset in the Y axis. When fixing the probe mount in place, I first leveled my bed and moved my Z axis to the home position. I slid a piece of paper between my build plate and nozzle, then sat the probe, attached to the mount with washers installed as spacers, on top of my 8.3mm gauge block. I smeared some silicone adhesive on the bracket and pushed it into position, then held everything steady until the glue cured sufficiently. In my case, everything lined up perfectly. As an added bonus, the touch probe now acts as a carriage-mounted light source, illuminating the build from above and behind, giving just enough light at just the right angle to see everything that's going on. I'm considering ordering some white SMD LEDs and replacing the red one in the probe. You'll need: 4 M3 washers, 4 square M3 hex nuts, and some M3 screws (not sure of exact length needed, I think they were like 12mm or so) to attach the belt mounts, all the screws and nuts that came with your touch probe, and some strong adhesive - but not polyacrylate/super glue. Ideally, you want a glue that gives you a small amount of working time to allow you to position and adjust the probe mount precisely. I recommend a gauge block to aid you in this. I used silicone adhesive so that if I really need to, I can still remove the mount.
