GEEETech i3B/C/X (PRINTED version): Extruder End
thingiverse
Hi, GEEETech just announced the Acrylic Prusa I3 pro series, with B for single extruder and C for dual extruder models featuring metallic idlers. Many people are still downloading my old customization for printed idler designs, so it's time to update that too. Here's the Extruder End component of my new design. The attached picture shows all electric contacts decoupled on top of this component, making installation easy and straightforward. The decoupler is designed to support: 2 Complete Extruders with separate power for Hot End, Motor Cable, and Thermocouple. 3 Fans: one "always on" and two connected to the PWM fans if your board has them or you have a Reprap Ramps 1.4 RRD Fan Extender. 1 three-wire AutoBed sensor. 2 LEDs. The schema images show all components needed, with cables 160cm long to simplify installation. You can see how these cables are connected in the images. PS: I've added STL files for a carriage with enhancements compared to the original GEEETech design, such as an x belt fixing method copied from the metal carriage and holes for unmounting dual MK8 motors with black feeders. As usual, my designs are split into easy-to-print parts with simple mounting. Please be aware that creating this decoupler requires skill with a soldering iron! If you fall in love with this design, remember it takes time to create, design, and share. Consider using the "Tip Designed" button on my profile if you appreciate my work!
